My Studio (doesn't that sound so 'professional'...LOL)

We are showing our craft rooms over at the Pazzles Craft room and I'm going to share mine there, but I needed to put my photos up somewhere, so I figured this was the perfect place. I have come a LONG ways from when I first started this.

I'm still going to be adding things, and I will try to update that here as I do, in the meantime, here you go

This is what it looks like when you come in the door.

This is my favorite thing. I got this piece at an auction for $1.00. I stained it and now it has things that are precious to me in it. A hat my Grandma made me when I was about 4 years old, my dad's harmonica, my Grandpa's Oil Pencils (he was a photographer), books from when I was very little. Just love this.

This is my closet. I took the doors off and built in shelves. I still have some work to do here, but it is workable now.
More of my closet, but I wanted to show the rod that is going over the top. This is where I put inspiration pieces. I just cleaned it off and will start adding other things. I also plan on putting words above this, I think I'm going to use 'Be Inspired' I haven't decided for sure yet.
This is where my friends (usually Stephanie) sit when they come over to hang out. I also have my printers over there and some 'office' stuff.
There is my favorite tool of all time, my Inspiration. It is under the AWESOME cover that Roxanne made me...it is reversible and says Nebraska Cornhuskers on the other side. I also keep some of the cards and gifts that people have sent me on the shelves. They keep me inspired.
This is my area that I 'teach' from. Plus this is where I do my paperwork and all the fun stuff like that.
This is my scrapping/project area. I LOVE my room and spend most of my time here...if you don't believe me, ask my family.

Sure wish I had a whole room to work in - my crafting space (not even NEAR a studio - LOL) happens to be in my laundry room of all places!

Thanks for sharing the photos Klo - it gives me something to strive for.

Love it - looks so great! I finally got my scrap space organized with shelves and a homemade clip-it-up and I love it. So much more inviting to work in. Thanks for sharing.

Klo,

Your studio looks awesome! I’m moving from Hawaii to Milwaukee, Wisconsin this summer and will actually have a crafting space/room! I really like your counters (although I feel your pain for how long it took you). If I wanted to do something similar, but freestanding (since I’ll be renting) would you mind if I “scraplifted” your counter idea? Also, can you give me some insight? Like a supply list—not detailed, just what types of lumber, counter top, screws, etc. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, creativity, and inspiration to this craft!

Thanks,

I would love to have you scraplift this idea...I really like it.
When it gets time for you do this, let me know and I will take some close up pictures of the legs, etc

it looks wonderful and organized and clean.... I should get motivated... I need shelves. I noted how much you have on shelves and I think that's what lacking above my computer and printer area - shelf spaces to put MORE stuff :D

I love love love LOVE it! I want a craft room so bad, and this gives me some ideas on how to organize a little better. Can't wait to see you in a couple weeks! My mom said you might come a day early! That would be a lot of fun!

I love how neat your studio is. I guess I can call my scraproom a studio. It isn't as neat but I know exactly where everything is. I guess that counts for something/
