CHA-New Pazzle Releases

Wowzers, I look like I've been MIA from my blog for a bit....sorry, it has been CRAZY BUSY. I just got back from CHA and I'm so dang excited about the new stuff from Pazzles, so I'm going to give you all an update so you can be excited with me.

Kloriginal Designs™ Presents Simply Steph in Volume 2 of the series. I LOVE Steph's designs, she is absolutely amazing. Here are just a few of the ones that will be on it. Each CD is complete with cutting files, assembly instructions, full color photos and more that will have you scrapping and cutting like a pro. Also, new to Volume 2, I have added AUTO LOAD for the Inspiration, so that it will install right to your Image Gallery...woo hoo. Of course, there will still be everything for the Mini, Pro and Mighty as well. I have also added cutting files that can be used with all the major computer driven cutting systems. Insturctions for cutting, assembly and embellishment, page maps for each layout and rights for use as class kits and page kits for resale. $29.95

The paper lace cd is great. These beatiful 12" x 12" overlays can be layerd over solid or patterned paper to create exquisite backgrounds for your pages. I also plan to make them smaller and use them for cards and other things. Don't worry Mini owners, I'm going to show you how to use them with your machine too. It us just a matter of cutting 2-6" x 12" pieces.
There are a 100+ lace overlays on this cd $29.95

Paper Petals is probably my 2nd favorite release (Kloriginals volume 2 is my favorite...*grin) With over a 100 flower cutting files, some just basic die cut flowers and others paper piecing, they are going to be great for adding that little touch to all your crafting projects. There is going to not be a need to have to BUY flowers in jars or in packages anymore, because you will have them all here...AND you can make them in any color you want....woo hoo $29.95

Due to popular request, Pazzles has rereleased TWO cd's, the Greeting Card one and the Word Book one. They now will auto load right into your Inspiration Gallery. They have added FULL COLOR photographs of all the cards, envelopes and word books in a printable PDF format. They are $29.95 each

If you have been a scrapbooker for alot of years, the name Vicky Breslin is going to excite you so much. Pazzles has released Miss Vicky's first Cut It Up CD. With her unique signature style, you will be creating pages in no time, she has included instructions for assembly, 3 exclusive fonts and even a video tutorial of embellishment techniques and of course, it will load into your Inspiration Gallery. $29.95

Pazzles LISTENS. For instance, when we all said we didn't like the security key with our older machines, they went ahead and built the key into the Inspiration machine for us, then of course, we wanted a key, so again, Pazzles listened and they have created Inspiration Studio™ On the Go. Whether you are traveling or simply like to create away from your desk, it is the perfect choice. Simply put the included key into one of your computer's USP ports to create and save your designs when your Inspiration isn't plugged into your computer. Of course, as always, you can create exactly what you want, from your high school's mascot to your own silhouette. You can use your favorite fonts that you have on your computer (or download free off the internet). Distort, weld and outline your designs to create even greater looks. Once you are done designing, save them and then when you get back to your cutter, you will be ready to cut it out. The Introductory pricing is ONLY $59.00

The Fabric Mat has a strong adhesive for when you want to cut 'hard to hold' materials such as fabric. (don't use paper on it...I 'heard' that it will ruin your mat, because the paper never comes off...OF COURSE, I have NEVER done this, so I don't have any "FIRST HAND" knowledge...no, I would NEVER do that.....okay, okay, I would do it...but it was all in the name of testing for YOU, so you don't fall into that silly little trap....*grin....and that is my story, and I'm "sticking" (and I do mean STICK) to it....*grin) It has been redesigned to work wonderfully in the Inspiration, Pro and Might models. $13.50

The Embossing mat has a plush surface or in Klo words, "it's squishy", that allows for deeper embossing or piercing. It is strongly suggested that you use this with the embossing tool and the piercing tool. It has been redesigned to work wonderfully in the Inspiration, Pro and Might models. $14.99
Speaking of the PIERCING TOOL, it has also been released for the Inspiration along with the DISTRESSING TOOL. I don't have pictures of them yet....but they look very similar to the ones that work in the Pro. They both retail for $39.95 each

I'm Home.........physically anyway

I'm home and I'm finally unpacked. I just looked at the date of my last post and just about croaked. I have been doing SO MUCH since then. I will share some of my vacation photos, new puppy photos and some NEW tutorials here over the next few days (hopefully hours...*grin)
I've decided to do a vacation book, so I'm sure I will be adding more cutting files to my store site too.
And JUST IN CASE, that isn't enough, I'm working on Volume 2 of Kloriginal Designs CD, to be released at CHA in about 2 1/2 weeks....PLUS, Sunday night, it will be LIVE VIDEO class night. I don't know what the 'class' is about yet, so if you have anything you would like to know specifically, let me know.

So there was this Historical Lighthouse....

And I wanted to see it, because it I have never seen one before...I don't think...(apparently if I have, it didn't leave much of an impression). Anyway, my friends, Stephanie, Jillibean and I had just left Mount Vernon (more on that at a later time) and were driving down this road and saw a lighthouse across the river. Well, on my GPS system, there was a Historical Lighthouse, so we figured, this had to be it....RIGHT???? I mean if the GPS system says it...it HAS TO BE TRUE. Well, we followed all the wonderful turns to get us to the lighthouse and as we are about .4 miles from it (according to the GPS) we found THIS SIGN.

Well, not one to show defeat...Jill and I get out of the car and walk under the bridge. (Dodging joggers and bike riders along the way) Oh and Steph? Steph stayed in the car...which we thought was sad, because she would miss all the fun.

Well, as we get to the other side of the bridge, we see a sign that says 'Lighthouse' with an arrow pointing down a path. Jill and I can't decide if we should go down the path or not, because we don't know how far away it REALLY is...and we have been walking most of the day, and well, let's face it...we were verging on the edge of exercise here and that is something I don't do often. (BUT, that's another story) Well, this skinny lady comes up out of one of the construction trailers (oh did I mention that the bridge is under construction? If not, 'the bridge is under construction') and we ask her how far the lighthouse is. She says, oh it's just down there and across the soccer field, it's not far at all.

Well, I'm ready to opt out at this point (that whole almost exercise thing) and Jill says, "There is no damn way we aren't getting a picture, I'll go take it". So she takes off down the path. I'm standing there visiting with this lady and all of a sudden out of nowhere there comes a HUGE gust of wind, blowing up dust into our faces and the it just starts POURING buckets of rain....The lady and I jump back and as I'm trying to get back under the bridge. Another gust happens and a stop sign falls over and misses me by inches.

Well, Jill has been gone 3-4 minutes by this time and then there is this big roll of thunder, well it scares me and I'm thinking....I thought it was just down the freaking path where is she. Well, I got scared about Jill being down the path by herself in this storm and the rain coming down and the thundering, etc. So I looked at the lady and said, "I have to go find her, she is going to be scared" And I take off running down the trail (Picture this: Fat lady, running down walking path in pouring rain to rescue her friend....it is NOT a pretty sight) I have to SAVE my friend. Well, I'm walking down the path....and walking.....and walking.....and walking......................AND walking...well, you get the idea, it WAS NOT close. So it wasn't a 'little' like exercise it was 'alot' like exercise.
Well, I FINALLY get to the soccer field and I see Jill across the way heading back towards me. Now remember it is POURING this whole time. We are not talking about a nice gentle warm rain, we are talking BUCKETS of cold water. We both have our camera's tucked under our shirts to keep them dry....(kind of like leaving something in your pocket to wash and hope it stays dry...not hugely successful). I cut across the soccer field to get to Jill. And this is the conversation that took place.
Jill: It was a damn SHACK with a glass globe on top.
Klo: WHAT?
Jill: Yes, a damn SHACK with BOARDED up windows and a glass globe on top.

Klo: You have got to be kidding?

Jill: No, but I took stupid pictures anyway.

What a FRIEND. Can you believe she did this for me. Well, we began our 1/2 mile (yes, you read that correctly...the 'short' path was a 1/2 mile) trek back to the car. Still raining by the way.

Before we got to far, we realized we better take some pictures....since the camera's were really staying to dry under our clothes.

HOURS later...okay, maybe a few minutes later, we FINALLY get back to the car, and where the aforementioned Steph was.

Steph after the rain, nice and warm in the car.
Klo and Jill after the rain...DROWNED RATS...literally wringing water out of the clothes.

Well, we are determined there HAS to be another Lighthouse somewhere, because didn't we see one ACROSS the river??? Well, this guy was jogging by and Jill tries to stop him, to ask him about the one across the river. Well, he kind of jogs by and then realizes Jill was stopping him and he goes to stop and instead TOTALLY wipes out, his iPod goes flying and he basically lands on his face. He jumps up with the "I meant to do that" spring in his step, comes back and lets us ask about the lighthouse across the river. He says, "There is a lighthouse just down that path over there" pointing to where we had just come from. He then proceeds to tell us, the other thing we thought was a lighthouse is not one.

All in all, I don't really think I can consider this lighthouse a HISTORICAL lighthouse....however, maybe it could be a HYSTERICAL one. And the rain gave us a really pretty rainbow.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it...HOWEVER, if you would like to see JILL's Side of the story, go to her blog and read more on our adventures.

My Mail Day ROCKED Today

Look what I got in the mail today....Roxanne, a wonderful lady I met in Seattle last year made this for me. It is two sided, so I can choose the mood I want in there. I will have to be sure and share the 'squirrel' story of how Roxanne, her daughter and daughter-in-law REALLY met in a way that we will NEVER forget.

Roxanne....I don't even know how to say thank you for this amazing gift. So THANK YOU. I TRULY LOVE IT....BOTH SIDES.

A New Addition to our Family

Well, we are adding to our family. As many of you know, we have a son, Jared, that is mentally handicapped with autistic tendencies. Anyway, he does not like to have alot of people around, but we want to make sure he doesn't become a hermit and completely anti-social. So we have been trying to figure out a way to help him. Just by chance, my daughter, Heather, found a little yorkie the other day and she brought her to us to watch until we found her owners. (We contacted the Humane Society and local vets), anyway, while she was here, we noticed Jared coming out and being more social and interactive with the family while the dog was there. So after the yorkie found it's owner, we talked about it and talked with a counselor who thought it would be a great idea. We ended up driving by some friends house that happened to have some puppies for sale. Well, the puppies aren't ready to go to new homes yet, but they are ready in about two weeks. Long story short...we bought a puppy...Her name is Elora Danan Oxford and she will be moving in on July 1st or 2nd. Here is a picture of Elora Danan.

I guess I better get busy making cute cutouts for puppy pages.

Using the Cut Line and Mirror Functions

On one of the groups I belong to, Robyn asked how to get the cut line and mirror to work for an AWESOME file she has been cleaning up. Instead of trying to type it out, I decided to show her how I do it, then I could share with everyone. Thanks Robyn...you are very talented and this is a beautiful file.

Creating Your Own Rubber Stamps

Have you ever wanted a stamp but couldn't find exactly what you were looking for and when you did, it cost $12 (more or less)? Well, now you can make your very own rubber stamps on your cutter. Here is a fun tutorial showing you how to create them and put them together. If you want to do this and don't have rubber stamp material yet, you can get it from Pazzles. If you don't need the acrylic blocks, you can also order the stamp sheets single, for this you will need to call Pazzles or email them direct.
