When I try to play the tutorials they seem to hang up and not play continuously, and then mysteriously re-start from where they stopped. Is there something I can do to fix that?

I wish I had an answer for you. I am able to get them to go from start to finish with no problem. Which browser are you using? Most people are using Internet Explorer and not having a bunch of problems.
Also, it could be your internet connection speed. Again, I'm sorry I don't have the answer on this.
I tried playing this video, and it was colored in red.
Even if the tiger has red lines, that is okay, because the paper you put in is going to be what matters.
